Our growing Process

Is our produce organic?

While we are not a certified organic farm we are proud to say we use no herbicides or pesticides. Our vegetable farm employs a no-till methodology that encourages diverse biological activity in the soil, including our worms! The techniques we use to cultivate our growing beds naturally reduces pests and weeds commonly found in a vegetable farm.

What types of produce can you expect in a season?

Fall crops: Broccoli, Cauliflower, Kale, Lettuces, Carrots, Beets, Radishes, Green Onions, Herbs, Leafy greens (Spinach, Arugula, Mustard greens), Asian Greens (Bok choy, red pac, chinese cabbage, etc), Green Garlic, Turnips, Kohlrabi, Celery, Roselle, Luffa

Summer vegetables: Peppers, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Squash, Garlic, Onion, Herbs, Eggplant, Okra, Green Beans, Sunflowers

Putting The Green In Greenhouse

Greenhouses

Our newest greenhouse is designed with a low energy heating system and solar-powered fans. We partnered with Ceres to create a heating system that pumps hot air from the top of our greenhouse into a pipe system that runs underground. The hot air heats the ground, and the heat slowly releases overnight, making our greenhouse 12-15 degrees above ambient temperature. The perfect environment for tomatoes and cucumbers to thrive all winter.

Our propagation specialist works hard to make sure a variety of starts are available for planting in your gardens year round!
